Joana Resende is the Vice-Rector of the University of Porto for Strategic Planning, Knowledge Valorisation and Entrepreneurship, and the president of the incubator UPTEC. She is a full professor of Economics, with research interests in the areas of Industrial organization, digital economics and anti-trust policy. She is a member of the Executive Board of the European Alliance for Global Health. She holds a PhD from Université catholique de Louvain and U.Porto.
